Wed Oct 24 2012 | 21:22 | Rookie Stanford could become starter at LB |
Jaguars undrafted rookie LB Julian Stanford could be forced to start at strong-side linebacker. |
Stanford was signed as an undrafted rookie out of Wagner in May, and the Jags' normal SLB Daryl Smith has missed the first six games of the season with a groin injury. Smith didn't practice on Wednesday and doesn't look set to return for Week 8 against the Packers. Kyle Bosworth has been starting in Smith's place, but Stanford has been a special teams standout and his defensive snaps have increased each week. |
