Ravens LG Kelechi Osemele (back surgery) participated 100 percent in workouts this past week. |
Osemele underwent surgery to repair a herniated disk back in November. The Ravens haven't gone full-tilt on the practice field yet, but Osemele looks good and will be full-go for training camp. His reinsertion into the starting lineup will be a big boon to the Baltimore offense. |

Osemele went under the knife in November and was slapped with a three-month timetable before he could resume real physical activity. Now he's building his body back up. Osemele's return, likely as the starting left guard, will be a nice boost to an offensive line that projects to be vastly improved in 2014. |

Tue Mar 25 2014 | 07:44 | Ravens plan to keep Osemele at guard |
The Ravens plan to keep Kelechi Osemele (back surgery) at left guard. |
Osemele was a left tackle in college and has played some right tackle in the pros, but the Ravens have internally determined his best position is left guard. From left to right, here's how we project Baltimore's O-Line as it stands: LT Eugene Monroe, LG Osemele, C Jeremy Zuttah, RG Marshal Yanda, RT Rick Wagner. The Ravens would be smart to bring in competition for Wagner at right tackle. |

Mon Nov 4 2013 | 16:15 | Kelechi Osemele's season is over |
Ravens placed LG Kelechi Osemele (back surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season. |
24-year-old Osemele was a key component of Baltimore's 2012 Super Bowl run, manhandling the likes of Vince Wilfork and Justin Smith in the playoffs. His play slipped dramatically this year due to back woes that now must be surgically repaired. Osemele is signed cheaply through the 2015 season. He's likely to remain a starter in 2014, but will have to get back to full health. |

Ravens LG Kelechi Osemele (back) is expected to miss the rest of the season. |
Osemele admitted last week that a back injury was affecting his play and that he expected to undergo offseason surgery. Apparently, the Ravens are going to get it fixed now. Osemele played promisingly as a rookie last season but hasn't been the same player in 2013. Michael Oher is scheduled to become a free agent. Osemele could move back to right tackle in 2014 if the Ravens don't bring Oher back. Short-armed center A.Q. Shipley will fill in at left guard. |

"I've been dealing with it for a while and it's getting to the point where I'm going to eventually go ahead and get that fixed," Osemele said. "I was avoiding it for as long as I could, gambling with it. I just can't afford to gamble with it any longer. It's something I definitely have to do something with after the season." Osemele has graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 49 overall guard this season. |

Mon May 6 2013 | 20:01 | Ravens asst GM: Osemele can be outstanding RT |
Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta says second-year OL Kelechi Osemele has the "skill set to be an outstanding right tackle." |
Osemele, the No. 60 overall pick in last year's draft, started all 16 regular season games at right tackle as a rookie before moving to left guard for the playoffs. With Bryant McKinnie back in the fold, Osemele will focus on left guard as a sophomore. But left tackle-turned-right tackle Michael Oher is scheduled to be a free agent next offseason, and there have been no talks of a long-term deal. |

Fri May 3 2013 | 14:55 | Kelechi Osemele to focus on left guard |
With Bryant McKinnie back in the fold, Ravens second-year OL Kelechi Osemele will focus on left guard this season. |
Osemele was shuttled all around the line as a rookie before settling in at left guard and turning in a dominant playoff run. Most memorably, he physically manhandled Vince Wilfork repeatedly in the AFC title game before kicking the tar out of Justin Smith in Super Bowl 47. A dancing bear-slash-mauler at 6-foot-5, 333, Osemele may soon develop into Baltimore's best offensive lineman. |
