CSN Philly reports DL Damion Square is the "lead horse" for a roster spot among the Eagles' undrafted rookie free-agent crop.
Square (6-foot-2, 293) was an extremely productive player in Alabama's 3-4 defense, but he went undrafted solely due to his size. "Only question you're going to have is, is he big enough for a two-gap [system]?" an anonymous scout said. "But when you put him on tape, the kid plays his [tail] off. He has a phenomenal motor. He's a guy that has really mastered all the technical aspects of the game." The Eagles don't have many fits for their new 3-4 defense, and Square could have a shot at meaningful snaps if he makes the team.
