Dorsey (foot) was released by the Patriots on Thursday, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.

A seventh-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Dorsey spent his rookie season on the Packers' practice squad, and then caught one pass in 2014. He suffered a broken foot in October, and he'll merely be hoping to stick at the bottom of an NFL roster this season.

Dorsey, who the Packers selected in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft, will look to secure a depth role in the Patriots' receiving corps, but with just one NFL catch to his credit, the 6-1, 207-pounder is not a lock to make the team's final roster.

The second-year wideout played a minimal role in three games this season, hauling in one catch for four yards. He was replaced on the active roster by offensive tackle Jamon Meredith.

Dorsey caught one pass for four yards in Sunday's victory over the Panthers.

The reception was the first of Dorsey's professional career. He saw action on nine plays Sunday, but most of that came with the Packers comfortably in the lead. Dorsey currently slots in as the fifth receiver on the Packers' depth chart.

Dorsey could be active Sunday as the Packers' fifth receiver, according to the team's official website.

Fellow receiver Jarrett Boykin (groin) will miss Sunday's game, so the Packers may give Dorsey a chance to suit up to provide some receiver depth and special teams help.

Dorsey was promoted to the Packers' active roster on Monday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Dorsey was drafted by Green Bay in the seventh round last year, but has yet to make his first NFL catch, as he's been used on the Packers' practice squad thus far. However, with tight end Ryan Taylor being released Monday, Dorsey will now enter Sunday's game versus Miami on the active roster, although his standing as the team's sixth wide receiver is hardly conducive to fantasy success.

White was released by the Packers on Saturday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

A seventh-round pick last year, White has yet to make an appearance in an NFL game and won't to begin the 2014 campaign, either. However, he's practice-squad eligible and could very well find himself back in Green Bay.
