Evidently, Colledge's back did not hold up well throughout the week, as he went from being a full participant Wednesday to limited Thursday to a non-participant Friday. Dallas Thomas is expected to start at left guard in his absence.

Colledge missed Sunday's game due to the migraines but his return to practice is a good sign that he should be able to suit up this week versus Detroit.

Colledge suffered a migraine headache in Sunday's win over the Jaguars and is under the NFL's concussion protocol, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

The medical issue could jeopardize Colledge's streak of 135 consecutive games played, the longest in the NFL among all guards. Nate Garner or Dallas Thomas would likely get the starting nod if Colledge is unable to go.

Colledge has been a left guard throughout his career, but the Cardinals must trust he can make the transition. They could just be experimenting, of course. We might not get a clear idea of how things will shake out along the Birds' line before training camp.

Colledge didn't take a pay cut. He decreased his $3.8 million salary to $700K and received a $3.1 million "signing" bonus to compensate. Colledge graded out as a top-eight run blocking guard by Pro Football Focus during his first season with Arizona. He struggled mightily as a pass protector.
