Sat Nov 8 201416:55Colledge (back) downgraded to out for Sunday's game against Lion...
Colledge (back) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Lions, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Evidently, Colledge's back did not hold up well throughout the week, as he went from being a full participant Wednesday to limited Thursday to a non-participant Friday. Dallas Thomas is expected to start at left guard in his absence.
Fri Nov 7 201417:25Colledge (back) doubtful for Sunday's game against Lions
Colledge (back) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Colledge went from full practice participation Wednesday to limited participation Thursday and now looks likely to miss Sunday's game after sitting out Friday's session.
Tue Nov 4 201423:06Colledge (migraines) returned to practice Tuesday
Colledge (migraines) returned to practice Tuesday, according to the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley.
Colledge missed Sunday's game due to the migraines but his return to practice is a good sign that he should be able to suit up this week versus Detroit.
Wed Oct 29 201409:55Colledge suffered migraine headache in Sunday's win over Jaguars...
Colledge suffered a migraine headache in Sunday's win over the Jaguars and is under the NFL's concussion protocol, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The medical issue could jeopardize Colledge's streak of 135 consecutive games played, the longest in the NFL among all guards. Nate Garner or Dallas Thomas would likely get the starting nod if Colledge is unable to go.
Mon Jun 30 201422:43Dolphins sign G Daryn Colledge to 1-year deal
Dolphins signed G Daryn Colledge to a one-year contract.
A ninth-year veteran with 124 career starts, College adds interior line depth to a Dolphins unit that'll likely be without C Mike Pouncey (hip surgery) for several games to open the season. A roughly replacement-level starter, Colledge would ideally be a reserve in Miami, with Sam Brenner or Nate Garner holding down center until Pouncey returns. The Fins' current starting guards are Shelley Smith and Dallas Thomas, with rookie Billy Turner pushing for snaps.

Mon Jun 30 201418:53Dolphins expected to sign OL Daryn Colledge
The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are expected to sign free agent OL Daryn Colledge.
Colledge has experience at all five positions on the offensive line, though he's certainly on the downside of his career at age 32 and is merely average at best. The Dolphins are picking Colledge over fellow free agents C Samson Satele, C Steve Vallos, and RT Ryan Harris. Colledge should be a versatile backup.

Fri Jun 27 201416:16Dolphins to host free agent Daryn Colledge
The Dolphins will host former Cardinals OG Daryn Colledge for a free agent visit.
The Fins are "searching for solutions" after losing C Mike Pouncey to hip surgery, which will cost him at least the first month of the season. Colledge does not have experience at center, but has lots of it at guard, and knows coach Joe Philbin from their time together in Green Bay. He's 32 years old.

Tue May 13 201408:45Dolphins also expressed interest in Colledge
The Dolphins have also expressed interest in free agent OG Daryn Colledge.
Colledge will meet with the Eagles on Tuesday. In Miami, he'd have a much better shot to start at right guard where third-round rookie Billy Turner and second-year G/T Dallas Thomas are currently expected to compete for the job.

Mon May 12 201418:41Free agent OG Daryn Colledge to visit Eagles
Free agent OG Daryn Colledge will visit the Eagles on Tuesday.
Now that the draft has come and gone, veteran free agents should start getting more play. Colledge was released by the Cardinals in March and has paid visits to the Rams and Raiders. The Eagles didn't draft a single offensive lineman over the weekend. Colledge has experience at all five positions.

Fri Mar 14 201414:37Daryn Colledge visiting Raiders
Free agent OG Daryn Colledge left his Rams visit without a contract, and will now visit the Raiders.
Colledge is best suited for a reserve role at this point in his career, but would certainly be in the mix to start in Oakland. The Raiders had some of the league's worst guard play last season.

Wed Mar 12 201423:53Rams hosting Daryn Colledge
The Rams are hosting OG Daryn Colledge for a free agent visit Wednesday night.
Colledge is 32 years old and best suited as a versatile reserve, but the Rams have a need at left guard after losing Chris Williams to Buffalo, and he'd likely start there if signed. For now, at least, St. Louis has Rodger Saffold at right guard, Joe Barksdale penciled in at right tackle, Scott Wells at center, and injured Jake Long tentatively manning Sam Bradford's blindside.

Sat Mar 8 201420:21Cardinals release RG Colledge, save $2.3M
Cardinals released RG Daryn Colledge.
The Cardinals have designated Colledge as a post June 1 cut, so his $4.6 million in dead money will be spread out of the next two years. His release creates a total of $2.3 million in cap savings. Earl Watford will compete for Arizona's starting right guard job in 2014.

Wed Jan 29 201415:06Cardinals likely to cut RG Daryn Colledge
The Cardinals are expected to release RG Daryn Colledge.
Colledge, 32 next month, carries a 2014 cap hit of $7.275 million. The Cardinals would eat nearly $5 million in dead money by cutting him but could designate Colledge as a post-June 1 cut and split the difference between 2014 and 2015. Colledge graded out in the middle of the pack in Pro Football Focus' guard ratings. Last year's fourth-round pick G Earl Watford is expected to compete for the starting right guard job in Arizona. Jonathan Cooper will be back at left guard.

Thu Oct 17 201323:19Daryn Colledge leaves game with back issue
Cardinals LG Daryn Colledge was forced from Arizona's Week 7 game against the Seahawks with a back injury.
Colledge was deemed "questionable," but it doesn't appear he'll be returning. Nate Potter is now in the game at left guard. It's not good news for a team whose line has been getting overwhelmed.

Mon Aug 12 201318:02Daryn Colledge returns to Cards practice
Cardinals RG Daryn College (leg) returned to practice Monday.
He worked with the first-team offense in 11-on-11s. The Cardinals' O-Line is shaping up as Levi Brown and Eric Winston at the tackles, Colledge and Jonathan Cooper at guard, and Lyle Sendlein at center. Bobby Massie has been demoted to swing/tackle guard, vying for sixth-man duties with Nate Potter.

Thu Aug 1 201313:13Cardinals RG Colledge to sit out a week
Cardinals RG Daryn Colledge (leg) will miss "another week or so."
Colledge has missed the past couple of training camp practices, and he's questionable for the preseason opener against the Packers on August 9. Colledge has a firm grip on the right guard job, but coach Bruce Arians recently praised fourth-round rookie Earl Watford's strength. He could make a move on the veteran.

Tue May 14 201321:17Daryn Colledge lining up at right guard
Daryn Colledge has been lining up at right guard in Cardinals OTAs.
It's an indication the Cardinals plan to keep first-round pick Jonathan Cooper at his college position of left guard, even though Cooper was running with the second-team offense Tuesday. Colledge has been a left guard throughout his career, but the Cardinals must trust he can make the transition. They could just be experimenting, of course. We might not get a clear idea of how things will shake out along the Birds' line before training camp.

Mon Mar 26 201214:34Daryn Colledge restructures his contract
Cardinals LG Daryn Colledge restructured his contract in order to save the team $2.325 million in cap space.
Colledge didn't take a pay cut. He decreased his $3.8 million salary to $700K and received a $3.1 million "signing" bonus to compensate. The bonus is prorated, dropping College's 2012 cap number from $5.5 million to $3.175 million. His future cap numbers are all higher now, however. Colledge graded out as a top-eight run blocking guard by Pro Football Focus during his first season with Arizona. He struggled mightily as a pass protector.
