Browns coach Mike Pettine said he is "very confident" with rookie OL Joel Bitonio. | ||||||
"He is NFL ready," said Pettine. "We're very comfortable and very confident there with Joel at left guard." Bitonio missed minicamp after suffering a high-ankle sprain during OTAs, but he is healthy and back practicing. Barring injury, he will be Cleveland's left guard Week 1. | ||||||

Browns second-round OL Joel Bitonio suffered a high-ankle sprain at OTAs, but expects to be ready for the start of training camp. | ||||||
Bitonio, the 35th overall pick last month, sat out all of minicamp and continues to rehab the injury on summer break. It's a multi-week issue and can tend to linger. Bitonio is expected to man the left guard post as a rookie. | ||||||
