Grimes (knee) is not participating in Monday's practice, The Miami Herald reports.

Grimes sprained his MCL during the Dolphins' Week 4 game in London, but fortunately had the team's subsequent bye week to get treatment and rest the injury. Nonetheless, as Miami returns to practice Monday, Grimes remains sidelined, making his status one to monitor as this Sunday's matchup against the Titans approaches.

With the Dolphins trailing big late in the game, it's not likely the Jets will be throwing much the rest of the way. Hpwever, Zach Bowman is taking over for Grimes.

In the first year of his multi-year contract Grimes proved to be worth the money with 57 tackles and five interceptions.

Grimes may not be the true definition of a lock down corner but he's pretty close and by far the best of what Miami has at the position. He will go into the 2015 season as their top cornerback once again.

It would be a positive first move by rookie GM Dennis Hickey.
