The 29-year-old right-hander, who had appeared almost exclusively out of the bullpen this season, got the call in place of Matt Cain. Nick Hundley tagged him for a solo shot in the third inning, but most of the damage came after he departed in the fifth as all three of his inherited runners rode home on Jedd Gyorko's grand slam. He finishes the season with an uninspiring 5.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 31/21 K/BB ratio in 30 innings of work. |
