The Detroit Tigers acquired outfielder
Steele Walker in a trade on Tuesday. Detroit acquired the outfielder from the San Francisco Giants for cash considerations, per a tweet from the Tigers' public relations Twitter account. Walker made his Major League debut this past season, hitting a home run in 16 plate appearances for the Texas Rangers. He'll give the Tigers some additional outfield depth heading into the 2023 season. As of now, Detroit's outfield options on the 40-man roster include
Riley Greene,
Austin Meadows,
Parker Meadows,
Akil Baddoo,
Willi Castro, and
Kerry Carpenter.
