Fri Jul 11 2014 | 10:31 | Antawn Jamison reaches out to Hornets |
Antawn Jamison hopes to play "at least another year" in the NBA and his agent has reached out to the Charlotte Hornets. |
Jamison grew up in Charlotte and still lives there, but he has "not received a definitive answer" from the Hornets. The 38-year-old is unlikely to attract attention in free agency, as he's coming off a lousy season with the Clippers, and like everyone else Jamison said he's "waiting for the dominoes to fall" in free agency. No matter where he lands, his fantasy value is kaput. |

Wed Jul 2 2014 | 01:32 | Antawn Jamison intends to play in 2014-15 |
Free agent PF Antawn Jamison is not considering retirement and feels he's in "great shape," according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. |
Jamison just turned 38 years old and if an NBA team signs him he'd likely be the sixth-oldest player in the league for 2014-15, behind Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Andre Miller, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. Jamison shot 31.5 percent from the field in 22 games for the Clippers last season, and his run as a fantasy option has been over for a long time. |

Thu Feb 20 2014 | 16:25 | Antawn Jamison is a buyout candidate |
Antawn Jamison is a candidate to be bought out by the Hawks. |
Jamison is 37 years old and appeared in just one of the Clippers' last 17 games before Thursday's trade. He'd be unlikely to play ahead of Mike Scott or Elton Brand, so a buyout would make some sense. |

Thu Feb 20 2014 | 14:56 | Antawn Jamison sent to the Hawks |
Antawn Jamison was traded to the Hawks on Thursday. |
The move is just a tax dump with the Hawks being able to absorb his contract. He's only played in one game since Jan. 11 and the Clippers had no use for him even in their shallow frontcourt. Jamison never played more than 20 minutes in any game this year, so it's hard to tell if the 37-year-old forward can play noteworthy minutes with his new team. Despite the Hawks being shorthanded up front, he can be left on the wire in almost all leagues. |

Wed Jan 29 2014 | 22:04 | Antawn Jamison won't play vs. Wizards |
Antawn Jamison (illness) will not play against the Wizards on Wednesday. |
It's against his former team, but Jamison hasn't played since Jan. 10 and is out of the rotation. He had 20.5 points per game with the Wizards back in 2009-10 and helped a lot of fantasy owners back then. |

Tue Jan 7 2014 | 01:34 | Antawn Jamison scores 10 off Clips bench |
Antawn Jamison came off the bench for 10 points, five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in 20 minutes on Monday. |
This was just his third game of the season in double-digit scoring and his season high is 11 points. He got extra run tonight when Blake Griffin got into early foul trouble, but Jamison has a long way to go before he even sniffs the fantasy landscape. |

Sun Nov 24 2013 | 18:45 | Antawn Jamison makes debut Sunday |
Antawn Jamison made his 2013-14 season debut on Sunday with 11 points, three boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes. |
He entered the game in the first quarter for a few minutes, then didn't check back in until the Clippers were up 91-70. late in the third. Jamison is nothing more than emergency depth and is not worth owning in any league. |

Fri Nov 1 2013 | 21:35 | Doc Rivers in no rush to bring in Jamison |
Coach Doc Rivers said that he's not expected to play Antawn Jamison until "later" this season. |
There's very little reason to play him and with all the miles on Jamison's tires, he's not going to help the team much. He won't be worth owning in any league while the Clippers are remotely healthy. |

Tue Aug 27 2013 | 14:25 | Antawn Jamison expected to be ready for year |
Antawn Jamison (wrist) expects to be 100 percent for the start of the season. |
Jamison underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his non-shooting wrist after last season. The Clippers were satisfied with his health, signing him to a one-year deal worth the veteran's minimum on Monday. Jamison, now 37, will be available for spot minutes off the bench. |

Mon Aug 26 2013 | 17:44 | Antawn Jamison signs with the Clippers |
Antawn Jamison and the Clippers agreed to a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum on Monday. |
The move was expected to happen and there was "renewed interest" from the Clippers on Sunday night. Jamison will add some depth at power forward for the Clippers, which is a weakness behind Blake Griffin. BG played 32.5 minutes per game in the 2012-13 regular season, so Jamison could flirt with his 21.5 minutes per game from last year. He's still not worth drafting in standard fantasy leagues and will compete with Byron Mulllens for playing time, though. |

Sun Aug 25 2013 | 22:52 | Clips w/ 'renewed interest' in Antawn Jamison |
The Clippers have expressed "renewed interest" in FA Antawn Jamison, according to Yahoo! Sports. |
L.A. has yet to make Jamison a contract offer and the Grizzlies and Bulls are also "in [the] mix" for his services. It's hard to ignore the recent reports about Lamar Odom's disappearance and alleged drug use -- the Clippers were supposedly waiting for Odom to agree to a minimum $1.4 million contract, with Jamison as their fallback plan, so their 'renewed interest' bodes ill for Odom. |

Sun Aug 18 2013 | 10:51 | Heat could target veteran FA addition |
Heat insider Ira Winderman says that Pat Riley has talked about wanting to "cannibalize the free-agent market in August and September." |
Among those that Winderman mentions as possible targets for Miami are Antawn Jamison, Lamar Odom, DeShawn Stevenson and Ronnie Brewer. The Heat roster is currently at 13 players, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see a veteran take the minimum to try and win a title. |

Sun Aug 4 2013 | 09:24 | Antawn Jamison has dinner w/ Doc Rivers |
Antawn Jamison had a "great talk" while dining with Clippers coach Doc Rivers on Saturday, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. |
The Bulls and Grizzlies are reported as having "expressed interest" in Jamison, who has fully recovered from April wrist surgery, but it's not clear if they're still in the mix. It's doubtful that he'll have fantasy value in L.A. or anywhere else. |

Sat Aug 3 2013 | 09:24 | Report: Antawn Jamison has dinner with Rivers |
Antawn Jamison had dinner with Clippers coach Doc Rivers on Saturday night, a source told Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears. |
Jamison is recovering from wrist surgery, which has dampened a bit of his free-agent value. The Clippers had been linked to Jamison earlier in July, with Adrian Wojnarowski reporting the two sides were progressing in contract talks. Jamison would likely have to take a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum, but we believe he's still capable of helping a team on the offensive end this season. |

Thu Aug 1 2013 | 12:04 | Grizzlies not in the mix for Antawn Jamison |
The Grizzlies are not expected to be in the mix to sign Antawn Jamison (wrist). |
There have been murmurs that the Clippers, Bobcats and Bulls are in the mix, but most of the reports are unsubstantiated. Jamison's wrist is fine and he should be able to contribute for at least another season -- on the offensive side of the ball, at least. |

Mon Jul 15 2013 | 18:57 | Teams concerned about Antawn Jamison's wrist |
Free agent Antawn Jamison said that teams have "unnecessary concerns" about his surgically-repaired wrist. |
This helps to explain why Jamison hasn't yet landed a deal. He's also a 37-year-old who struggles defensively and griped about his limited role last season while posting the worst Player Efficiency Rating in his 16-year NBA career. The Wizards and Clippers have both been linked to him in free agency. |

Sat Jul 13 2013 | 15:22 | Clippers taking time on Jamison and Odom |
The Clippers are taking their time in signing Lamar Odom or Antawn Jamison. |
They're looking for the right fit, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports. The Clippers and Jamison have reportedly made some progress and he might be a better bet to wind up with the team. Both Jamison and Odom should cost near the veteran minimum and won't be major factors with the team. |

Mon Jul 8 2013 | 13:23 | Clips, Antawn Jamison talking one-year deal |
Antawn Jamison and the Clippers are making progress on a one-year contract. |
There is nothing official just yet and the Clippers have been the favorite for Jamison since free agency began. He would come off the bench behind Blake Griffin in a secondary role. Jamison is 37 years old and is unlikely to get more than 20 minutes per game with the Clips. |

Sun Jul 7 2013 | 16:17 | Clippers going after Antawn Jamison |
The Clippers are among the teams interested in unrestricted free agent Antawn Jamison. |
He is expected to make his decision in the next day or two. Jamison's money should be in the veteran-minimum neighborhood after his tumultuous year last season at a guaranteed $1.3 million with the Lakers. He's unlikely to be worth drafting in fantasy leagues in almost any scenario. |
