Thu May 20 201022:57Boyer to be reassigned to Triple-A Reno
Blaine Boyer will be reassigned to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
The right-handed reliever was designated for assignment earlier this week after allowing 11 earned runs in his first 12 2/3 innings of relief for the D'Backs. He unsurprisingly drew no interest on waivers.

Tue May 18 201011:07D'Backs designate Boyer for assignment
Diamondbacks designated RHP Blaine Boyer for assignment.
The 28-year-old righty has been a big part of Arizona's bullpen struggles this season, allowing 11 earned runs and 17 hits in 12 2/3 innings of relief. He was out of options, so the DFAing was necessary (and warranted).
Fri Apr 30 201017:30D'Backs' Boyer allows three runs in relief
Blaine Boyer walked three and gave up three runs in one-third of an inning Friday against the Cubs.
Boyer has lost the strike zone, walking seven over 2 1/3 innings in his last two appearances. The entire Diamondbacks bullpen is just one big mess right now. Boyer probably doesn't have to worry about his job yet, partly because he's out of options, but he can't take much for granted.
