Schafer suffered the injury Monday while sliding into second base. He was sent to a team doctor Tuesday to get an idea of how much time he might miss.

Brewers prospect outfielder Logan Schafer, who is already scheduled to have surgery on his right foot, will also undergo hernia surgery next week.
Double-whammy. The 23-year-old outfielder will miss the rest of the season, but the Brewers hope he will heal in time to play in the Arizona Fall League and possibly play in a winter league, as well.

Double-A Huntsville's Logan Schafer will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot.
Schafer was injured in just his seventh game back from a groin injury that caused him to miss the first two months. The 23-year-old Schafer hit .313/.369/.446 at Single-A Brevard County last season and entered 2010 regarded as one of the Brewers' top position prospects.
