Fri May 1 201519:55Navarro recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday
Navarro was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Navarro has split his time between the majors and Triple-A thus far, but his .394/.429/.576 batting line was enough to earn him another chance with the big league club. The Angels sent Grant Green back to Triple-A to open up a spot for him on the 25-man roster.
Tue Apr 21 201519:11Navarro optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday
Navarro was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Angels needed a fresh arm after the bullpen was forced to go nine innings in the last two games alone, and Navarro was a logical choice for a demotion. Navarro's been used sparingly (15 at-bats), and has done little with his opportunities (three hits, three strikeouts). Cam Bedrosian was recalled to take his spot on the roster.

Navarro has three hits and three runs scored in 15 at-bats to begin the season.
Navarro's primary role on the club is a backup to Albert Pujols, but his versatility earned him a start in left field against the Mariners on Apr. 8. It's hard to imagine the 28-year-old will be anything more than a reserve player at this point in his career, but he could be worth a roster spot in AL-Only leagues if Pujols has to miss time.
Tue Sep 2 201418:21Navarro recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday
Navarro was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
Navarro was just sent down last weekend, but with Salt Lake's season ending Monday, the 28-year-old is eligible to rejoin the big club. In 44 games with the Angels this season, Navarro has hit .254/.318/.356 with one homer, and his opportunities may be limited moving with the likes of Brennan Boesch, C.J. Cron and Luis Jimenez now on the roster as well.
Sat Aug 30 201417:37Navarro optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday
Navarro was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday, Eric Kay of the Angels' official site reports.
In the last nine games, Navarro had been afforded just two starts, during which he notched two singles, two RBI, and one run in 11 at-bats. Although he'll likely return to the majors in short order once rosters expand, the Angels have called upon Michael Roth to aid the bullpen.
Sun Jul 27 201400:39Efren Navarro hits first major league homer
Efren Navarro hit his first big-league homer off Justin Verlander in Saturday's win over the Tigers.
Navarro also had an RBI groundout and a walk in the game. He's 10-for-30 since coming up from Triple-A on July 12, and he deserves to be in the lineup against right-handers on a regular basis for now.

Sat Jul 26 201401:35Efren Navarro goes 2-for-3 off bench
After replacing an injured Josh Hamilton, Efren Navarro went 2-for-3 with a go-ahead single Friday in the Angels' 2-1 win over the Tigers.
Both Angels runs came in the sixth, as Kole Calhoun doubled in Chris Iannetta and Navarro singled in Calhoun. Navarro is hitting .333 with a 3/4 K/BB ratio in 27 at-bats since being called up on July 12. It makes sense for the Angels to use him against all right-handers right now, but they haven't made any sort of commitment to him yet.

Angels recalled OF Efren Navarro from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Navarro impressed during his brief audition with the Halos earlier in the season, slashing .297/.350/.432 with three RBI in his 37 at-bats. He isn't likely to see enough playing time to be worth the addition in AL-only leagues.

Angels recalled OF Efren Navarro from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Navarro is starting at first base for the Angels on Saturday against the Rangers. He was 9-for-29 (.310) with five doubles in 11 games earlier this season for Anaheim but probably won't play enough to hold fantasy relevance.

Angels optioned OF Efren Navarro to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Navarro hit .310/.375/.483 over 11 games for the Halos, but the Angels are getting other outfielders back healthy and there's no longer a spot for the 28-year-old. He'll be back later this season.

Fri May 9 201423:09Efren Navarro doubles twice in debut
Efren Navarro doubled twice Friday in his season debut for the Angels.
It was Navarro's 13th major league game; he played in eight in 2011 and four last year. It's hard to tell how the Angels intend to divide playing time now with so many young players up for part-time roles. Navarro may have a little short-time value in AL-only leagues, but that's no given.

Angels sent 1B Efren Navarro outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Navarro batted .317/.368/.488 over 547 plate appearances in the minors this season before earning a promotion to the big leagues in September. Even with those numbers, at the age of 25 it's hard to call him a prospect.

Thu Sep 1 201116:08Angels call up 1B Navarro from Triple-A
Angels purchased the contract of 1B Efren Navarro from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Navarro, 25, batted .317/.368/.488 with 12 homers, 73 RBI and an .856 OPS over 547 plate appearances this season. He had never hit more than six home runs in any of his previous five minor league seasons before playing in the Pacific Coast League, so he is highly unlikely to be a regular at first base in the long run. Still, this is a just reward for a fine season.
