Cardinals' minor league catcher Robert Stock will be converted into a pitcher.

The Cardinals made the announcement Monday, after the 22-year-old was reassigned to minor league camp. Stock, a 2009 second-round pick, has a .241/.320/.347 batting line and a .667 OPS over 771 plate appearances in the lower levels of the minors.
