2B DJ LeMahieu experienced cramping in his right groin during the Tuesday game against the Giants and had to leave the game in the fourth inning. The injury is not considered serious, although Rockies manager Bud Black announced after the game that LeMahieu would not start the series finale Wednesday.

1B Mark Reynolds hit a three-run home run in Colorado's loss to the Giants on Tuesday. His 19th homer of the year came after the Giants intentionally walked 3B Nolan Arenado. Reynolds has batted three times after Arenado intentional walks this season, and he had a two-run single and a strikeout before the Tuesday homer.

RHP Bartolo Colon will start Wednesday in the second contest of the three-game series. Colon was on the disabled list with a strained oblique. It's been a rough go for the 20-year veteran this year as he's allowed at least six runs in five of his 12 starts. But he beat the Padres earlier this year in Atlanta.

INF Freddie Freeman (wrist) continues to take soft toss swings and he could be taking batting practice by this weekend. "He looked strong," manager Brian Stinker said. "Physically he feels good where his wrist is. Obviously it is not bothering him with the swings I saw him take in the cage." Freeman continues to take grounders at third base and the plan is for him to switch corner infield positions when he returns.

1B Matt Adams will stay put at his position when Freddie Freeman returns from his wrist injury. "Thats the plan right now," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "That was Freddie's idea; he likes Matt in the lineup and what he can do for the team. He's all-in."

LHP Brian Flynn was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list and optioned to Omaha. Flynn had already been pitching for the Triple-A affiliate on his rehab assignment. He has struggled to regain his control, as his 10.95 ERA in nine relief outings suggests. Flynn was placed on the DL with a fractured vertebra after falling through the roof of his barn. He appeared in 36 games with the Royals last season, posting a 1-2 record with a 2.60 ERA.

RHP Tyson Ross, who started Tuesday night's game, was hoping for the best after watching Cleveland Indians hitters erupt for 15 runs and 19 hits Monday. "I was hoping they would be tired from last night," said Ross, who made the Indians look tired. He pitched six innings, allowing one run on two hits. "He threw enough strikes to get them in swing mode, and as the game progressed he got much sharper," manager Jeff Banister said.

3B Adrian Beltre's 450th career home run was a game winner. Beltre, who has homered in three straight games, slugged a ninth inning home run off RHP Cody Allen that was the difference in the Rangers' 2-1 victory over Cleveland. "I was looking for a first-pitch fastball, and he threw one," Beltre said. "Just another piece of the legend of Adrian Beltre," manager Jeff Banister said. With 450 career home runs, Beltre ranks 39th on baseball's all-time list. "It's a good milestone, but I'm not thinking about that now," Beltre said. "Our mindset is to win this series, and now we've got the first win."

C Robinson Chirinos' home run in the fifth inning provided the Rangers with their first run. It was Chirinos' 11th homer of the season. In 10 career games against Cleveland, Chirinos is hitting .323 with two doubles and four solo home runs.

1B Joey Gallo's 27 home runs matched Chris Davis' (2008-09) Rangers record for the most home runs by a Rangers player in his first 123 career games.

OF Michael Brantley, who was activated off the disabled list Monday, was back in left field and hitting No. 3 in the Indians lineup Tuesday. It was Brantley's first appearance in a game since June 14. He had been on the disabled list with a sprained right ankle. Brantley was 1-for-4 on Tuesday. He is hitting .310 at Progressive Field this year.

RHP Shawn Armstrong, who was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Monday, was recalled from Columbus on Tuesday. Armstrong assumes the roster spot held by OF Austin Jackson, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list. In 11 relief appearances with the Indians, Armstrong is 1-0 with a 5.02 ERA. In 14 1/3 innings, he has allowed eight earned runs on 12 hits, including three home runs, with 14 strikeouts and six walks.

OF Austin Jackson was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left quad strain. Indians president Chris Antonetti said Jackson is expected to be sidelined 3-to-4 weeks. It is Jackson's second stint on the DL this season. In 102 at-bats, Jackson is hitting .304, with three home runs and 15 RBIs.

RHP Bryan Shaw pitched a scoreless seventh inning. Shaw, who has led the American League in games pitched in two of the last three years, has appeared in 38 games this year, which is tied for the most in the league.

RHP Danny Salazar, who threw a simulated game at Double-A Akron on Monday, is scheduled to make a rehab start for Akron on July 1. Salazar has been on the disabled list since June 6 with right shoulder soreness.

OF Yasmany Tomas (groin) was 0-for-2 in first rehab game in rookie Arizona League. He played five innings in left field before being removed. He is likely to need three or four more games. He had not played since going on the disabled list retroactive to June 3. The D-backs are 16-5 without him.

LF Daniel Descalso extended his hitting streak to five games with a double off the left-field fence in the fourth inning and finished 2-for-4 with a walk. He has four straight multiple-hit games and has 13 hits in his last 34 at-bats with two doubles, a triple and six RBIs. He started in left field Tuesday before moving to shortstop in the ninth inning after SS Nick Ahmed was hit by a pitch and forced to leave the game. Descalso started at third base Sunday and first base Monday.

CF A.J. Pollock (groin) was 1-for-4 with a double while playing seven innings in a rehab game at Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, his second game in three days in his return to the field after missing time with a quad injury. Pollock has been out since May 15. The D-backs are 29-10 in his absence.

SS Nick Ahmed suffered a fractured right wrist when he was hit by a Trevor Rosenthal fastball in the eighth inning. He knelt in pain and was removed from the game. He is expected to miss quite a bit of time, but the D-backs did not have an immediate time frame or did not make an immediate move to replace him on the roster. SS/2B Ketel Marte is hitting .338 with a .905 OPS at Triple-A Reno. He has 23 doubles, seven triples, six homers, 41 RBIs and seven stolen bases.

CF Tommy Pham extended his hitting streak to eight games with a first-inning single and finished 1-for-5 with a stolen base. He also made a leaping catch at the center field fence on Chris Iannette's long fly to save at least one run in the second inning Tuesday. "Intense player, talented guy," manager Mike Matheny said. "We're seeing a little bit of everything." Pham is 12-for-34 with three homers during the streak.
