Berry elected free agency and is now free to sign with any team. He's coming off a terrible season, but won't have any trouble securing a spring training invite this winter. Berry posted an anemic .191/.309/.257 slash line with three homers and 30 steals at Triple-A in 2013.

Berry was acquired earlier in the week from the Royals. He hit just .191/.309/.257 in 100 games at the Triple-A level this season, but possesses blazing speed and should make for a nice bench addition for the Red Sox as the push towards the postseason. Berry successfully swiped 21 bases in 21 tries for the Tigers in 94 games during the 2012 season.
