Aquino was dealt to the Indians on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Gazette reports.
It's the second time this season Aquino has been traded for cash, as he went from the Blue Jays to the Pirates in early-May. Aquino was DFA'd by Pittsburgh last Wednesday after going 2-6 with aa 3.78 ERA in 13 starts at High-A Bradenton. He'll likely be assigned to the same level within the Indians organization.

Aquino has spent the year at High-A since being acquired by the Pirates in early-May. In 13 starts, he holds a 2-6 record and 3.78 ERA to go with a 1.220 WHIP and 5.7 K/9. Aquino will be subject to waivers and will likely end up back at High-A Bradenton.

Aquino was traded to the Pirates on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune reports.
Aquino will end up with his third team of 2015 after being designated for assignment by the Blue Jays earlier in the week. He had a 2.81 ERA and 16:6 K:BB ration over five starts (25.2 innings) at High-A Dunedin so far this season. Aquino will provide the Pirates with organizational depth, and may be a middle relief option down the stretch.
Tue May 5 201514:11Aquino designated for assignment Tuesday
Aquino was designated for assignment Tuesday, Sportsnet.ca's Ben Nicholson-SMith reports.
The Blue Jays need room for Chris Colabello on the 40-man roster, and they aren't willing to risk losing Jonathan Diaz. The 22-year-old Aquino was deemed expendable, as his 2.81 ERA for High-A Dunedin this season is backed by a middling K/9 (5.6) that's fairly consistent with his previous results. While the statistical track record is underwhelming, there may be a team willing to use a 40-man spot on the young lefty.
Wed Feb 4 201516:55Aquino traded to Blue Jays
Aquino was traded to the Blue Jays, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
Aquino was recently designated for assignment by Colorado, and was shipped to Toronto in return for prospect Tyler Ybarra. He spent the majority of 2014 at High-A where he struggled to the tune of a 5.40 ERA and 1.50 WHIP, but he's just 22-years-old so the Blue Jays were willing to take a flier on the lefty.
Fri Jan 30 201517:15Aquino designated for assignment by Rockies on Friday
Aquino was designated for assignment by the Rockies on Friday.
The Rockies had to clear a roster spot with David Hale coming aboard from Atlanta via trade. Aquino was an obvious candidate to lose his spot, having posted a 5.13 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 18 starts between High-A Modesto and Double-A Tulsa last season. That said, the left-hander did show promise early in his career and is still just 22 years old, so there's an outside chance he could draw interest while on waivers.

Scary moment. Aquino apparently managed to mostly duck out of the way, but it still got him. It doesn't seem too serious, but he was likely taken out for precautionary reasons. The Rockies should pass along an update soon.
