Wes also knocked in four runs with a homer and a double.1933 — In a strange play at home plate, catcher Luke Sewell of the Washington Senators tagged out two Yankees runners on the same play. Lou Gehrig had held up, thinking a fly ball would be caught. The Brewers scored three times on four hits in the ninth.2016 — Colorado’s Trevor Story tied a rookie record with his 10th homer in April, a two-run shot, and the Rockies hit four home runs in a 9-0 victory over the Arizona Diamonbacks. Story, the Rockies’ shortstop, tied Jose Abreu of the Chicago White Sox, who hit 10 in April 2014. Story and teammate Nolan Arenado, who also homered, are tied for the major league lead in home runs. With his 10th home run in his 21st game, Story tied George Scott in 1966 as the fastest player in MLB history to 10 homers.
