Romak was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

The Pacific Coast League was kind to Romak once again in 2015, as he hit .284/.363/.549 with 27 homers and an even 100 RBI in 129 games. He has a strong track record at Triple-A, but he's played in the PCL in all four of his seasons at that level. Perhaps he could see a few starts at third base, second base, or in the outfield over the final month, but regular playing time seems unlikely.

Romak was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday.

He will head down after a nine-day stint with the big club, with Randall Delgado (ankle) ready to return from the DL, but a September callup is virtual lock for Romak after a .289/.373/.554 showing at Reno (22 homers). A larger role is not necessarily assured for Romak upon his return, but it's certainly possible he could eat into Chris Owings' time at second base.

Romak went 2-for-5 with a run scored against the Phillies on Wednesday.

He got his first start with the D-Backs in this one, batting seventh and playing left field. A career minor leaguer, Romak's put up quality power numbers in Triple-A this year, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect much, particularly with his playing time quite limited.

Romak, a 29-year-old long-time minor leaguer, will be given the second minor taste of the big leagues of his career. He had 22 homers and six steals in 458 plate appearances at Triple-A, but at 29 he hardly qualifies as a prospect and he should not be expected to come anywhere close to matching his minor league numbers against big league pitching.
